Research Partners and our Expert Network

The overall objective of GraCerLit project is to develop an LCM printing setup and methodologies for additive manufacturing of FGCs by simultaneous processing of two photocurable feedstocks that will allow series production of customized and multifunctional components with a control of the architecture and microstructure at all scales.

The Repromag project opened up completely new perspectives for the efficient and innovative production of rare earth magnets - a sustainable utilization of (critical) raw materials - while enabling a shift of paradigms due to the radically new application fields where complex shapes & structures, such as rare earth magnets, can be implemented.

Lithoz’s contribution to the Repromag project was the development and establishment of a lithographic printing process for manufacturing highly precise and accurate metal components with the same microstructure and performance profile as metal injection molded (MIM) parts.

This project received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement number 636881.

I AM RRI investigates webs of innovation value chains in additive manufacturing (AM) and identifies openings for responsible research and innovation (RRI). The aim is to develop a complex network model of AM innovation chains and their associated processes, all of which are directed toward "Responsible, Research and Innovation" (RRI) at all levels.

This project received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement number 788361.

The Rheform project aimed to replace the carcinogenic and toxic hydrazine in propulsion applications. It focused on developing less toxic hydrazine replacements (green propellants) and improving and testingtheir cold start capabilities.

Lithoz’s main role in the Rheform project was related to the development of 3D-printed monolithic structures for enabling the catalytic combustion of the green propellants.

This project received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement number640367.

Lithoz developed a Lithography-based Metal Manufacturing (LMM), an innovative AM machine for 3D printing of advanced, high quality metal
products. Thanks to a proprietary ground-breaking AM technology, LMM enables to print any metal parts with any design, and provides unequalled
accuracy and quality of the final product. LMM can be easily implemented into existing Metal Injection Moulding (MIM) manufacturing lines without
the need for dedicated post-processing machinery and specialized expertise, thus enabling to reduce total production costs and time.
During the phase 1 feasibility study, Lithoz will establish a sound go-to-market strategy and supply chain, and will outline further development
plans. During the innovation project, Lithoz will optimize the machine and printing process, validate it with partners in the MIM manufacturing
industry, and obtain CE mark and regulatory compliance.

The aim of the Tomax project was to unite industrial experts in the fields of software development, materials science (photopolymers and ceramics), high performance light-sources, system integration, life cycle analysis, and rewarding industrially relevant use cases.

Lithoz’s main contribution to this project was developing, for the first time, a lithographic AM process for fabricating fully dense silicon nitride ceramics with the same technical properties as traditionally manufactured silicon nitride parts.

This project received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement number 633192.

Partners & Sponsors

Competitive advantages always emerge where expertise and development trends are identified and promoted at an early stage. With the support of strong partners and promoters, Lithoz has succeeded in developing an additive manufacturing system for high-performance cramics that meets the high demands of our customers. Our partners and sponsors have very high quality standards and support Lithoz with their strong expertise from a wide range of core areas.

Lithoz is sponsored by JITU – PreSeed of BMWFJ, administered by AWS

Lithoz was attended to within the business incubator of the INiTS university service for start-ups, an enterprise of the University of Vienna, TU Vienna and the ZIT (Technology Agency of Vienna) and sponsored as part of the AplusB program.

Lithoz is sponsered by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) on behalf of the Austrian Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology (BMVIT) in course of the FTI initiative.

Supported by the Vienna Business Agency. A service offered by the city of Vienna.
