At formnext Lithoz Launches the CeraFab S65 Performance Pack for Doubled Light Intensity and a 60% Resolution Boost

  • At formnext, Lithoz levels up LCM performance and launches an optional Performance Pack based on 4K projection system
  • The tuning kit is firstly available for the CeraFab System S65 and S65 Medical
  • Light intensity doubles from 60 mW / cm2 to around 120 mW / cm2, defining entirely new limits for LCM technology in processing dark ceramics
  • CeraFab S65 resolution is boosted by a 60% dpi increase, pushing performance from 40 µm to 25 µm
  • An S65 with Performance Pack will be exhibited at the Lithoz stand
  • A cornucopia of application firsts demonstrates the straightforward progress in both industrial serial production and premium material engineering

28.10.2026 Vienna, Austria. At formnext, Lithoz, global market leader in ceramic additive manufacturing, will premiere its new „Performance Pack“ for the CeraFab System S65 and S65 Medical. Built around a cutting-edge 4K projection system, the tuning kit delivers a significant leap in both light intensity and resolution, substantially expanding the capabilities of LCM (Lithography-based Ceramic Manufacturing) technology.

The optional Performance Pack is based on a 4K projection system and combines doubled light intensity with a significant 60% boost in resolution: while the S65’s resolution is raised from 40 µm (635 dpi) to 25 µm (1016 dpi), light intensity is amplified from 60 mW/cm² to around 120 mW/cm². This dual enhancement opens up entirely new possibilities for LCM technology, particularly by making it much more accessible for the processing of dark ceramics, as the typical challenges of light-based curing systems related to darker slurries are significantly reduced.

Visitors can experience a CeraFab System S65 Performance Pack live at the Lithoz booth (Hall 11.0, Stand B50).

A Cornucopia of Application Firsts on Display

Alongside the printer launch, visitors will experience an impressive range of application firsts, demonstrating the market leader’s straightforward progress in both industrial serial production and premium material engineering.

To list the most important:

116 aluminium nitride cool plates printed on a single CeraFab S320 platform, demonstrating the thermal management high-performer’s efficient scalability to the model’s fivefold bigger platform.

A casting core observable inside a real turbine blade alongside an identical extracted twin, built by German Access e.V. symbolizes the role of LCM as key enabling technology in creating next generations of aircraft turbine engines.

Novel alumina cooling plates with a molybdenum-manganese (MoMn) metallization coated by Sigma Advanced Materials.

Luxury watch bezels from blue and black zirconia, transferring aesthetics and surface smoothness of technical ceramic components to the watchmaking industry.

Hydroxyapatite spinal cages, co-developed with Swiss ADMS (Adaptive Density Minimal Surface) pioneer Spherene®, representing the fast progress in patient-specific bioceramic implants.

DTU Energy’s monolithic gyroid-shaped SOFC units approaching a power-to-weight-ratio of 1 W g⁻¹ against the typical 0.2 W g⁻¹ of current architectures, disrupting traditional planar stacking to show a pathway for hydrogen-powered propulsion systems in payload-sensitive means of transport.

Algorithmically designed rocket engine segments in cooperation with Leap71.

Lead-free piezoceramic intricate geometries from barium titanate (KNN ceramics), guiding MedTech innovators towards their next generation of miniaturized sensors and actuators for medical use.

In the run-up to formnext during the next weeks, further major announcements of real-world industrial applications realized by Lithoz customers are to be expected.
